Iwan Sunito – A Story Of Business Success

Iwan Sunito is a self-described lazy child who was born and raised in Indonesia but moved to Sydney in 1985 to pursue his education. Under pressure to not fail and to become more focused, the decision to leave Borneo Island has opened a door for Sunito to become a business success story co-founding Crown International Holdings Group and leading the company as its current CEO.

* Education

Iwan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in architecture in 1992, where he graduated with honors, and completed his master’s degree in construction management from the New South Wales University in 1992. He became a registered architect of South Wales in 1993.

* Career

Iwan started out as an architect for the large Australian firm Cox Richardson Architects. But then he felt he would be better off owning his business rather than working as an employee. Known for his humility and calm personality, he built his first residential project, along with two of his friends, in the Bondi Junction reaction. In 1996, just four years after his graduation, he co-founded the Crown Group with business partner Paul Sathio. And the rest after that, they say, is history.

* Crown Group’s Success

Although it wasn’t easy to make his business a success, Iwan found that doing business in his second country was more transparent than in Indonesia. Crown’s success is built on business integrity and Iwan’s ability to read market trends. The Crown Group has had enormous success in Sydney, with some popular residential development projects under its belt, including Ashfield, Bondi, Epping, Eastwood, Five Dock, Homebush, Strathfield and Pennant Hills.

The aim of Iwan Sunito's Crown company is to provide its clients with the perks of luxurious living at prices that can only be described as affordable. The company in June 2013 launched its new development called Skye by Crown. It is a twenty-storey residential complex that was designed by Koichi Takada. It is poised to become THE icon of North Sydney.

The Skye complex features 231 apartments that each have their own balconies as well as glass facades and winter gardens. It has a bronze-colored metal veil interior. Although it has yet to advertise itself, the project has generated a lot of interest, which only serves as proof of the company’s as well as Iwan’s reputation. After Skye, Crown is expected to develop more projects for affordable luxurious living. For more information about Skye Crown, you can get more information from Crown's official website.

* Philanthropy

Despite all his success, Iwan still remembers his beginnings in Indonesia. He organized business workshops for Indonesian students who are in Australia. He has also done his part in organizing music festivals and charity events in his hometown and other places in Indonesia as well to give back to the less fortunate children in Indonesia. On a personal level, Iwan is a family man with three children.

Iwan Sunito is one of the more well-known immigrant success stories in Australia. His story is testament that anyone with the passion for providing a valuable product or service can become a success story regardless of his or her background.
